Size Large package is the Virgin Media intermediate cable package, but is not medium-sized at all. Clearly, it is quite interesting a bundle. From previous version (Size M) to this one, speed has doubled, as it is up to 4Mb, so you can really sense the difference. You'll need to test the eligibility of your phone line to see if the bundle is available according to the place you live in. (Keep in mind that if cable is not available, you'll still be able to join Virgin Media, for the ISP provides also non-cable Broadband connections).
When adding Virgin Phone service to this Broadband size L package, you'll be getting to know a new friend : your piggy bank ! UK week-end calls will be free, evening & day-time calls will only cost 3.25p per minute (bottom-of-the-line package). Many other Virgin Phone packages do exist, from unlimited weekend UK landline calls(11 £ a month) to an amount of 800 minutes to call anywhere, on regular or cellular phone lines (40£ a month)
To keep talking about healthy, generous surprises, subscribing to Virgin Phone Services gives you access to Virgin TV (digital TV), which includes 35 free digital channels ! If you choose this TV service, please notice that Virgin provides a V+ box thanks to which you can record one or many programs at the same time. This HD ready TV set implies a one-off fee of £ 150, after what you'll have to pay an extra 5£ a month.
The eligibility of your phone line will determine whether this package is available for you through cable or adsl. With this cable package, your connection will be provided through fiber optic cables, which means that there is no need for a line rental. However, you'll have to pay a £30.00 installation charge.
