Pipex rates as UK's number 4 largest Internet Service Provider. Its voice and Broadband services now belong to Tiscali, an Italian Internet Service Provider which was launched in Sardinia in 1997, at first, before expanding across European countries. Pipex provides broadband packages at affordable prices, a large range of data allowance going from 2 Mb to Unlimited usage, variable high-speed from 2 to 8 Mb. It seems to be quite obvious that if you really want to give Pipex a try, the chances of finding a bundle adapted to your own needs is high.
What is explained here is dedicated to those who wish to download heavy files. Pipex allows unlimited usage allowance through some of its bundles. However, downloading huge amounts of files is often related to Peer-to-Peer file sharing, which results in using a lot of bandwidth (all the users are therefore handicapped with drops of speed). To avoid this kind of situation, Pipex warns users if usage at peek times is excessive. This is not a unusual situation, Virgin Media, for example, does exactly the same. For some hardcore Peer-to-Peer fans, this may appear as a strict behavior, but on the other hand this prevents Pipex users from being affected by drops of speed. Indeed, this Internet Service Provider is a reliable one, there is no bad surprise.
