Telefónica O2 is a European Telecommunications company. The company is also known as "O2", the short version of its brand name. In January, 2006, O2 group was purchased by Spanish 'Telefónica' company. O2 entered UK Broadband market by purchasing Be (another Internet Service Provider) in June 2006. By 31 March 2007, it was estimated that about 35 million European mobile customers relied on the company's services in UK, Germany, Ireland and Czech Republic. O2 launched its own Broadband service in mid-October 2007.
O2 came late on the market, but benefits from Be Broadband's coverage (Broadband's kits have been installed in unbundled exchanges) and from Telefónica's experience. The Mobile and Internet Service Provider is very ambitious, and delivers top-of-the-range packages Broadband, not to say extreme high-speed connections. The options included in the packages will leave users delighted as they will discover the whole potential of Internet Broadband. O2 exhales a deep fresh breath of air in the current Internet Service Market.
