Dial-up is a form of Internet access via modem. It remains very useful to travelers or people who live in places (mostly rural areas) where Broadband connection is not possible. It's also very cheap if you don't intend to spend too much time online. With a dial-up connection, the maximum theoretical speed reaches 56 kbit/s, it therefore remains very slow compared to Broadband. The connections are mostly provided as "Pay-as-you-go" and there is no monthly charge or set-up fees : connections are charged at a certain rate per minute.

Beware, speed values represent the maximum speed which can be reached, but your Broadband speed could be inferior to what was intended, depending on the quality of your phone line. For more informations, read the details in the package description pages.
